whom和who都可用作疑問代詞，who是主格，whom是賓格。另外whom和who同為定語(yǔ)從句的關(guān)系代詞，如果定語(yǔ)從句的先行詞是指人，我們用who或者whom作連接詞，區(qū)別是who作從句的主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)（通常在口語(yǔ)中），whom只能作從句的賓語(yǔ)。

（1）Who saw the thief？

誰(shuí)看見了那個(gè)小偷？

（2）Whom are you trying to fool？

你想愚弄誰(shuí)啊？

Who are you trying to fool？（在日?？谡Z(yǔ)中，常用who代替whom作賓語(yǔ)。）

你想愚弄誰(shuí)??？

（4）who不能直接用在介詞后，whom可以。例如：

To whom is she writing?她在給誰(shuí)寫信？

Is he the man who wants to see you？

他就是想見你的人嗎？（who在從句中作主語(yǔ)）

He is the man whom I saw yesterday.

他就是我昨天見的那個(gè)人。（whom在從句中作賓語(yǔ)）
